Day 0
La Bastide de Tourtour is a four star hotel set at the heart of a 4 hectare park, located between Provence and the Côte d’Azur. The park, on the heights of Tourtour, allows guests to benefit from a 180km panoramic view, from where 3 departments can be seen. The calm, tranquile of the un-spoilt surroundings offers guests relaxation even during the hottest hours of the Provencal summer. The Hotel offers a gastronomic and Provencal cuisine with a large selection of wines and “grands crus” to accompany your favourite dishes. The chef is passionately concerned about preserving a simple style of cooking, by using all the fresh local produce and choosing them with great care.
Day 1. Tourtour to Avignon 160 miles. 5:00 hours drive time
After breakfast at the Hotel we set off to undertake a day’s drive that includes stops at such world famous sites as the cities of Arles, Nimes, as well as the Pont du Gard and Avignon. Taking in the Roman remains and stunning landscapes that inspired Van Gough as well as enjoying the expected warm weather and wind in the hair experience these cars offer. Upon arrival at Avignon we find the Hotel d’Europe will be an agreeable hostel to spend the night.
Day 2. Avignon to Le Puy. 132 miles. 4:30 hours drive time
After breakfast at the Hotel we set off to undertake a day’s drive in the ‘twisty stuff’, this is a certainly a day for scenery as it follows the Gorges de l’Ardeche that includes stops at sites of geological interest; Vallon Pont d’Arc and the source of France’s mightiest river, La Loire. On arrival in Le Puy, famous for lentils, we will find that the L’Ermitage will be expecting us.
Day 3. Le Puy to Rodez. 162 miles. 4:30 hours drive time
Heading south for most of the day towards following the dramatic route towards one of the modern day wonders of the world, the Millau Bridge. The route will take you under and over the bridge. Ending the day at the town of Rodez, a town with Roman origins with a well preserved network of old narrow streets and attractive squares, flanked by mediaeval and renaissance buildings built in one or other of the local stones, it will offer an attractive evening stroll.
Day 4. Rodez to Tulle. 160 miles. 4:30 hours drive time
The route planned for this day goes through the ancient volcanic landscape of the Auvergne. Today you will pass through the southern part of the region known as the Monts du Cantal, a great volcanic bulge in the crust that lies at around 800 metres. Towards the overnight stop at Tulle, the land drops off into a much gentler drive. This town being dominated by its Cathedral, built in the 12th to 13th centuries the imposing bell tower was added after the main cathedral was finished and has the tallest spire in Limousin. Day 5. Tulle to Vichy. 140 miles. 4:00 hours drive time

Cancellation Policy
You or any member of your party may cancel your trip at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the person who signed the booking form and is communicated in writing. As this incurs administration costs we will retain the deposit and in addition will apply cancellation charges as shown below:

More than 70 days full deposit retained
More than 42 days 50% of booking total charged
More than 21 days 75% of booking total charged 20 days or less 100% of booking total charged
If you are obliged to cancel, you may, with reasonable notice, transfer your booking to a third party who satisfies the conditions required to take the tour. However, we will retain your deposit to cover the administration costs and pass on any additional fees levied as a result of the transfer. Certain tours may attract different cancellation fees. You will be advised accordingly during the booking process.
